When Hidayah Calls

When Hidayah Calls

Listening to the story itself makes me feel touched. The ummah today should take an example out of the sincerity and perseverance in search of Allah's hidayah and upholding the aqidah, even though it is very challenging.

She is known as Ash, the eldest child of two siblings. Becoming a Muslim has made her family, her parents especially, could not accept the fact. Let’s read her story!

"When I was in Standard Three, dad wants me to be in the first class. The teacher said that it is not possible, because only third and fourth class has the 'Moral' subject. But my dad still insisted that I must be in the first class. So he said, I had to learn Agama Islam."

That was the first time Ash learnt about Islam. Ash and her classmates always studied together and had study groups of their own at a surau nearby their residence. One day, as soon as her Muslim friends entered the surau, they took of their hijab. Ash had dared herself to ask them, why would they be wearing hijabs when they do not feel comfortable?

Lately, many of us are going through the weakness of iman phase. There are many situations such as being lazy, returning to the jahiliyyah era and there are also those who leave the amal path due to fatigue. It is even more surprising that these happen to those who are already recognized in the da’wah field.

It is undeniable that this is a phenomenon in which Allah is filtering them out. However, there are several other factors that contribute to this phenomenon.

Educating Is Not Everything

Educating Is Not Everything

Syeikh Mustafa Masyhur once said: “Educating is not everything, but everything begins with educating.” The first part of the phrase does not literally mean that education is insufficient to hinder oneself from perceived vices. Otherwise, what‟s educating for? Therefore it is completed with the second phrase which emphasizes that in any circumstances, everything has to start by educating. Beginning with those educational moments, a da‟i uses all the knowledge gathered to align with the choices in life. Moving on, a da‟i becomes the changing agent to his family, colleagues, in ceremonies and even on the public transports.

Be Calm.. Congregational Prayers’ Reward Is Still There

Be Calm.. Congregational Prayers’ Reward Is Still There

We often observe people running into the mosque because they are late for prayers, especially when they hear Imam almost finishing his reading and nearly perform ruku’.

Sometimes this situation becomes even worse if they drove to the mosque. For that purpose of chasing after the congregational prayer, they simply park their vehicles to be as near to the mosque as possible. Even worse there are people who park their vehicle exactly in front of the stairway to the mosque, obstructing other people’s walkway into the mosque.

A group of people were talking. A few seconds later, they started laughing out loud cursing, “You’re crazy! You’re idiot! ” They continued talking. After that, they laughed out loud again, this time saying “Hoi monkey! You slow-brained!” and the cursing went on and on.

Allah’s great creations are not only seen at the existence of the universe, the earth, the sky, the stars and the sun including other huge planets, but it can also be seen from the tiniest thing in life. The development of science technology proves that living things are actually made up of a complex structure and simply perfect. It is impossible to say that it happened on its own. This proves that all lives are created by a Great Power.
